Queen Alexandra’s House has a wonderful vibrant atmosphere and engaging community, of 110 female residents.
Music Practice Rooms
Designated practice rooms with pianos for our music students. As well as 3 Grand Pianos throughout the House. Our residents fill the building with music and also host informal performances for residents and the local community.
A new spacious art studio for those studying arts and fashion to get creative, which can be used throughout the year and also to showcase your works.
At QAH we work to ensure you live in a safe, happy, healthy and engaging community, helping you make the most of your student experience. We host many events from quiz nights, Pilates, picnics and concerts for all our residents.
The building has many communal areas for you to use, including, TV room, kitchens, drawing room and spacious dinning hall with lounge area, plus a lovely court yard for you to sit back and relax in (some time restrictions may apply to some areas).
Support and Guidance
This can be for some, the first time living away from home. With a fully trained team at Queen Alexandra’s House we are here to provide support and assistance to you throughout your university and college experience, whenever you need it.
Safety and Security
Personal safety is extremely important to us, we have an on-site team available 24/7 that is dedicated to our residents. There is also CCTV and a secure door entry system access into the building.
In a community of more than 100 girls, certain rules are necessary, however we strive on providing an environment where your well-being is paramount, we work with you to help you grow and provide a safe environment where you can work towards and achieve your dreams. As a resident we ask that you show consideration and respect for others, and be willing to adapt to the well-being of the community.
The General Manager and Principal reserves the right to terminate a student’s residence.
